We value your trust and are committed to being clear and fair in how we do business with you. These Terms and Conditions explain what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and your rights when purchasing our products and services.

1. Who We Are

The Conversation Toolkit ("we", "us", "our") is a parenting education business run by Selena Hannagan and Maryanne Perry, helping parents of teenagers communicate more effectively. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of conversationtoolkit.com (the "Website") and your purchase of any of our products and services, including our book, mini-courses, masterclass, membership portal and coaching sessions.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing the Website, creating an account, or purchasing any product or service from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or purchase our products. These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information.

3. Our Products and Services

We offer a range of parenting education products and services, including:

  • eBook - Unlocking the 5 Secret Keys to Their Emotional Needs

  • Mini-courses, including 3 Steps to Talk So Your Teen Actually Listens

  • Real Conversations: Life Coaching in Action, a series of coaching sessions

  • Masterclass, a full 6-week system delivered through our membership portal

  • One-to-one coaching with Maryanne Perry, by application

We may add, change or discontinue products and services, and update pricing, at any time. Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) unless stated otherwise.

4. Purchases and Payment

When you purchase a product or service, you agree to pay the price shown at checkout, including any order bump or one-time offer you select. Payments are processed securely through our platform, Systeme.io, and its integrated payment processors. We do not store your full card details.

Digital products, including the book, mini-courses and the Masterclass, are delivered electronically, generally through instant access to our membership portal once payment is confirmed.

5. Refunds and Our Guarantee

We want you to feel confident purchasing from us. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee across all of our digital products, including the book, mini-courses, order bump, one-time offers and the Masterclass.

If you are not satisfied, contact us within 30 days of your purchase date at selena@conversationtoolkit.com and we will provide a full refund

Refunds are issued to your original payment method

This guarantee applies to digital product purchases only, and not to 1:1 coaching, which is covered separately in section 6

Nothing in this section limits any consumer guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 12).

6. Coaching Sessions

One-to-one coaching with Maryanne is by application and is a separate service to our digital products.

If you need to reschedule a session, please give us at least 24 to 48 hours notice

Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with less notice may be forfeited or subject to a rescheduling fee, at our discretion

Coaching packages and any applicable refund terms will be confirmed with you individually before you book

7. Membership Portal and Account Access

When you purchase a course or membership, we grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to access the relevant content through our membership portal, for your own personal use.

You must not:

  • Share your login details with anyone else

  • Download, copy or redistribute portal content beyond what is reasonably needed for your own personal use

  • Use the content for any commercial purpose, including teaching, training or reselling it to others

  • We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, The Conversation Toolkit and our licensors own all intellectual property rights in the Website and in our products, including the book, mini-courses, Masterclass content, videos, worksheets and coaching materials. You may use this material for your own personal, non-commercial use only. You must not republish, sell, rent, sub-licence, reproduce or redistribute any of our content without our prior written permission.

9. Not Professional or Medical Advice

Our products and coaching are general parenting education and support. They are based on neuroscience, mindfulness and coaching principles, and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, psychiatric or therapeutic advice, diagnosis or treatment.

If you or your teenager are experiencing a mental health crisis, family violence, abuse, or any situation involving risk of harm, please contact a qualified professional or an emergency service. In Australia, you can contact Lifeline on 13 11 14, or 000 in an emergency.

Nothing on our Website, in our products, or in coaching sessions should be treated as a diagnosis or clinical recommendation for your family's specific circumstances.

10. Results May Vary

Every family is different, and outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your own effort and circumstances. While we share what has worked for other families, we do not guarantee any particular result from using our products or coaching.

11. Website Use

You may view and use the Website for your own personal, non-commercial use. We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Website, you consent to that use.

12. Liability and Consumer Guarantees

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for a breach of a non-excludable guarantee in relation to services is limited, at our option, to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having the service resupplied.

Beyond those non-excludable rights, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all other warranties and are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Website or our products and services.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or damage arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of our Website, products or services.

14. Third-Party Links

Our Website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any linked website, and including a link does not mean we endorse it.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, and continued use of the Website or our products after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our products and services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
